I know I haven't posted in ages and ages, but I'm signal boosting this as much as possible in some vague hope that SOMEONE will wanna jump in on this. More details are here:

tl;dr: I put in for the 'Austin Premiere + after party' tier for the Veronica Mars Kickstarter, and unfortunately need a new home for the two pair of tickets I'm not gonna be able to use myself.

11:06 am - To all and sundry
I know I'm mostly silent on this confounded thing; I've never been terribly good at this "journaling" thing, even before we called it blogging. Be that as it may, I still do pay attention -- or I try to, when work (which seems to have finally morphed into what feels like a 'career', oddly enough) lets me, and I still think warm and fuzzy thoughts about friends here, be they ones I talk to all the time, or those I haven't managed to get in a word with in months. Which is all just a long-winded and twisty way of saying I love you all, and hope the holiday of your choice, be it secular or otherwise, is treating you and yours as gently and kindly as it can.

07:54 am - Just to make the week EVEN BETTER
If you've gotten email from me, or a facebook chat, or anything claiming I was robbed/in jail/stuck in Wales and in need of cash ASAP -- yeah. That's not me. That's some asshat who's hijacked, at the very least, my facebook and gmail account. I'm checking for keyloggers or anything lovely and malicious of that sort now, but I just did that on Monday and haven't been surfing anywhere strange in the days since, so...we'll see.
So...I'm fine. Recovering from being sick and missing Consonance, wanting to kick work for making me miss things at Borderlands last night, and now pissed off at the internet in general (not any of you in specific)...but fine.
ETA: Facebook and gmail accounts are both recovered now. Thanks to someone's smart thinking, I have an address and even a name (supposedly for the 'hotel manager' in Cardiff). I reported the yahoo account they were having things forwarded to for Phishing, but I'm not quite sure what else to do with the rest of the contact info, if anything.

02:13 pm - I'm divisible by 5 again!
If only that were literally true, I might have more done overall. But no, only the years I've been on the planet fit that bill -- 35, as of yesterday. Still swamped out of my mind at work, things still going generally pretty well, little things I'd like to make better if I just had some time to stop and catch my breath, but...I'll do what I can.
Mostly, figured birthday was a good time to throw up the 'oh yeah, I'm not dead' note. More again when I get around to catching breath again.

Can I have my thumb drive back? I know have three, but the one with stuff I really care about has gone AWOL, and I was hoping to work on some of that stuff this coming Sunday. Things have been crazy around here, so a little lost-and-found would go a long way.

Sort of alive. Survived drive back home. Conflikt was great, seeing people was lovely, not seeing people enough was less than lovely but hopefully I'll make up some of that at Consonance, Powell's was awesome, could not find Voodoo Donuts, TV is all around mind-blowingly good (at least the stuff I watch), Leverage got a season 2, and I so don't want to go back to work tomorrow.
Maybe more later when I'm thinking coherently.

Not that I'm a terribly prolific poster, but comments may be less frequent for the near future. The computer at home has kicked the bucket -- given symptoms, I suspect the motherboard has finally given up the ghost. While this hopefully means there's no data loss, that still leaves me without connectivity save at work (which is where I am now. On a Sunday. Whee.) for the near future.
